Busting Broncos are the wild horses of the rodeo. Brave cowboys ride one-handed on a bucking horse's back and try to stay on for the famed 8-second ride. This is more commonly called bareback riding. These horses are rough and tough and were born and raised to buck, rear, and make a commotion. They are kept away from the other horses in a secluded pen, mainly because nobody wants bronco blood mixed in with good competition horse blood. The bareback horses live together in a pen and are taken out for riding and herding. They actually have a pretty calm lifestyle. The bronco pen is nearby the training arenas and most of the horses live there. Most broncos are stallions, so the mares usually stay in the pens year-round and get to live a lazy life, giving birth to the future bucking foals of course. Of course, during the very cold months, the busting broncos are moved to an indoor pen where they can stay away from the cold. The mares and foals are the luckiest horses at American Honey, being allowed to do pretty much whatever they want. They are taken wherever the bareback riding horses go, but they usually just get to tromp around whatever pasture their brought to and get to explore. The busting broncos are put in American Honey's meadow when there aren't any competition horses in there. The current horses in the Busting Bronco Pens are:
